Street vendors looking for divine intervention in struggle with health officials

A group of  streets vendors are  looking for divine intervention  to help solve a problem with health officials.

Street vensors like this not welcome at Social Security clinic

They protested Monday in front of the Temple of Santa Librada in Los Santos because of a decision by Social Security to stop them setting up shop near the  Miguel Cárdenas Polyclinic.

The vendors have been selling chichas, sandwiches and other items near the entrance of the clinic for the past eight years. There are six full-time vendors in the area and another 30 that show up occasionally.

The complainants claimed that they came to the temple to ask for divine intervention to help them find a solution to the problem.

Las Tablas Mayor Edison González said he supports the vendors and will be asking officials from the Social Security for their decision.
