Flu epidemic keeps clinics working through weekend

As the season flu epedemic continues o spread, leading to the closing of at least one hospital emergency room, the government has launched a flu vaccination campaign across the country.

Medical staff in helath centers have been working through weekends in clinics and the program is continuing.
In the capital area centers in Pueblo Nuevo, Santa Ana, Tocumen, Veracruz, Taboga, and Juan Díaz are open. In the province of Chiriqui vaccinations are being administered at the health center in the neighborhood of el Bolívar in David. According to Ministry of Health statistics say that 38,000 flu shots have been administered in the country.
