Daughter of Noriega victim wants dictator back to face justice
Patria Portugal, the daughter of community leader Heliodoro Portugal, has said that former Panamanian dictator Manuel Antonio Noriega of Panama should face justice in Panama.
She argued that on his return Noriega has to "tell the whole story."
Noriega is being held in Paris, France, after his April 27 extradition from the United States.
Portugal made her comments on Monday at a ceremony unveiling a plaque in Santa Ana Park in honor of her missing father.
Vice President and Foreign Minister, Juan Carlos Varela was at the ceremony.
Heliodoro Portugal disappeared in 1970. Thirty years later, in 2000, his remains appeared in a grave in the headquarters of Los Pumas, an enforcement unit of the Noriega government.
