We like it. That's never been a problem for us," he added.  Ahead of the crucial match between Panama and the United States in Group C of the 2024 Copa América, Panamanian national team coach Thomas Christiansen held a press conference in which he shared his expectations and strategies for the match. The match will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, an imposing venue that will host this key clash and just down the street from the US Presidential Debate at the CNN Headquarters. Panama comes into this match after a 3-1 defeat against Uruguay. Although the result was unfavorable, the team showed notable improvement in the second half. Christiansen emphasized the importance of maintaining that level of play throughout the 90 minutes against the United States. "I can't do much more. If we don't come out strong in the Copa América, I don't know how it will turn out. We will try to get them to give 100% from the start. It was more a problem of fear than anything else." Christiansen declared, reflecting his desire to see a more energetic and determined start from his players. The coach highlighted the need for total concentration and physical effort to face a US team that has just beaten Bolivia 2-0 and is one step away from ensuring its place in the quarterfinals. "We need total concentration in all situations. I hope we can play two 'second halves', which is when we have the reaction.
