The vaccination campaigns usually carried out by the Ministry of Health have been successful in the past and placed Panama on the world map in this matter. With this precedent, the anticovid immunization days began, but the technicians were relegated. Politicians took control, causing disorganization, despite the fact that health officials worked on a national vaccination plan, but it was left in the hands of the Minister-Counselor, Eyra Ruiz. And what started well now is painful chaos, in which bad and hasty decisions prevail; privileges, patronage and even a presumed black market. All this is the responsibility of the President of the Republic, who put a person from his political environment to direct the program, which today reflects the misrule we are experiencing, and that it is on the verge of spiraling out of control - if it is not already - due to its evident lack of decision and complacency. The bags with food for those affected by Covid-19 - also in control of the Presidency - now result in another scandal. If Laurentino Cortizo is not involved, it is better for him to start acting as president now and stop acting as a partner, because all eyes are on him. - LA PRENSA, Jun. 14
