In an effort to close the gender gap in science and technology and expand educational opportunities for girls, Telered announced its incorporation into the STEAMGIRLS 360 program, developed by FUNDESTEAM.  This program seeks to inspire 10,000 girls in Panama to become the next generation of female scientists by 2031 through the education methodology in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics, which allows them to learn programming, language and robotics. 

"Participating in STEAMGIRLS 360 allows us to act directly on our commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of young women in Panama while raising educational quality," said Michelle Camazón, Director of Customer Experience at Telered.  "We are very excited to invest in a future where girls can aspire and achieve leadership roles in science and technology without traditional barriers," Camazón added. 

The STEAM GIRLS 360 program contributes significantly to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 4: Quality Education, by providing access to high-quality STEAM education for girls and young women; SDG 5: Gender Equality, by reducing the gender gap in science and technology fields and empowering girls to take on leadership roles; and SDG 10: Reducing Inequalities, by offering educational and personal development opportunities to girls from diverse communities in Panama, thus promoting greater inclusion and equity in society.
