A suspect in the murder of a man whose body was found in an advanced state of decomposition on January 9, in the Cerro Patacón garbage dump will appear before a Judge of Guarantees on Wednesday.

Judicial authorities have identified the victim, as Colombian hair stylist José Gerardo Marín.

The suspect was apprehended by the Police in the town of Ancón where the couple had lived for 18 years.

A source involved in the investigations said that the motive for the murder was passion. According to judicial sources, the body was not dismembered and had a sheet around its neck, and was handcuffed.
