15 stranded Panama seafarers low on food and water
Fifteen Panama sailors have been stranded for a month aboard the Missi Commander and are without food and drinking water is scarce reports Noticias Caracol. The vessel flying the Mongolian flag, was on a five-day mission delivering fuel to the port of Santa Marta, Colombia, but they ran out of gasoline and the mission was extended.
According to the publication, the seafarers have not disembarked at the port because they do not have the authorization of Colombia Migration and Port Health authorities.
The Panama Maritime Authority and the Panamanian Association of Naval Officers is making arrangements for the Colombian authorities to provide assistance with fuel, food and water.
