Class suspension sends contradictory message

The planet faces a pandemic, aggravated by the scientific ignorance of politicians and the lack of civility on the part of the population. Both problems can be faced with the same tool: education. The Ministry of Education’sdecision to suspend classes in private schools, the same day that the State paid the Universal Scholarship, sends a contradictory message. Although some private schools did not offer organized virtual education, others were already in the process of digital transformation of their academic program. If this is so, why try to level the curve to the worst of levels? Did Meduca consider any alternative for parents who have lost their ability to pay, so that those schools that can face the challenge of these times continue to teach? To the educational problem, now is added the financial cost of educators and administrators who could lose their source of income. A country always wins with more education.-LA PRENSA, Apr.16
