Rookie judge cant rule on Attorney General

Supreme Court Judge Victor Benavides has ruled that rookie Judge Jose Abel Almengor can’t sit in judgment of his former boss hear Attorney General, Ana Matilde Gomez.

The lawyers for Gomez had objected to Almengor, alleging that in March 2009 the Attorney General opened disciplinary proceedings against the judge while he was serving as Drug Prosecutor.

The secretary general of the Office of Administration, Nelson Rojas, has sought the investigation of Gomez and her removal from office for alleged abuse of authority
