75 booked for carnival joy riding in official vehicles
Either they couldn’t read or they thought that warnings from Panama’s Comptroller General were exaggerated, but 75 drivers were booked by Saturday for using official vehicles during carnival.
Before the carnival festivities began, a warning was sent out, prohibiting the use of “off duty” vehicles, with threats of sanctions ranging from $100 to dismissal.
Strict surveillance was also promised, and it’s been happening.
Most of the infringements were discovered in Hato Montagne in Cocle and in Chiriqui.
Big Brother will stay on the alert until business returns to normal on Wednesday.
