$5 a gallon gasoline on near horizon

Early in the year it was forecast that there would be a steady climb to $4 a gallon gasoline, but world events have intervened.

The price of 95 octane gasoline will be hovering below the $5 a gallon mark from Saturday, March 23, until May 6, but could jump again then as oil prices continue to rise.

If you use 91 octane, you will see a slight drop in the cost  with prices frozen by the government  at $3.99, in the battle againsr rapid inflation.

Low-sulfur diesel will cost drivers $3.80 a gallon.
