Playa Venao to host Surf World

Playa Venao in the district of Pedasi in the Panamanian province of Los Santos has been  chosen to  host "Surf World"  June 25 to July 3 this year. {jathumbnail off}

The international effort will involve  more than 600 surfers as well a national and international media to the area.

The event will be used to  raise awareness of regional customs and traditions through costumes, dance, tamborito and to boost the economy of  the region which is dependent on commercial and tourist activities.
 The opening ceremony will include a   typical parade through the main streets of the township.
