Noriega return likely in October
With France on the edge of it’s August hibernation, Panama doesn’t expect the paperwork for the extradition of its former military dictator will be completed until October.
Deputy foreign minister, Alvaro German Healy said Sunday that the former dictator Manuel Antonio Noriega could arrive in Panama in October.
German told Prensa.com that France "We estimate permission [to extradite] can be given no later than October this year, perhaps even earlier in September," said the deputy minister.
He said that in France in August is a month off: "The government is practically closed, so the process will resume in September."
When France says that Noriega can be delivered, the Panamanian government will appoint a group of officials who will set the process in motion.
