Popular Deutsche Welle TV could be heading to Panama

Local viewers of the German State television network Deutsche Welle, will be happy to hear that the company is looking to set up a Latin American headquarters in Panama.

Deutsche Welle broadcasts  around the world in German, Spanish and English and its European broadcasts are  currently available on CableOnda. They have a high cultural content.

The  possibility of a Panamanian base was raised this week during a meeting between Erik Berrermann head of the German radio and television organization, Erik Bettermann, and President Ricardo Martinelli. 

 At the meeting, "Bettermann said that  Panama offered possibilities as a vital center for economics and business  for the region and the world, "

 Martinelli,  said the positive impact for his country would be the regional headquarters of the German television because it would strengthen economic ties, trade and cooperation between Panama and Germany.
