Search for crashed plane abandoned
The search for the Cessna 210 that crashed August 19 in Darien, with six men aboard, was suspended Friday September 9.
The director of the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC), Rafael Barcenas said the search, which had been aided by planes from neighboring countries and the US, had yielded no positive results and while the authorities are aware of the pain suffered by families of the five people whose bodies have not been found, the search had become too complicated.
Only one body has been recovered. Four AAC staff members and the pilot and copilot were aboard.
