Taxis protest law enforcement

Taxi owners and drivers  closed all four lanes of a highway on Monday to protest  plans to keep them off the road if they haven’t renewed their license plates

They blocked  José Agustín Arango,opposite a mall. They were some of the 20,000 taxi drivers who did not renew their plates by the  September 30 deadline.  

At a meeting with officials of the Transport Authority, (ATTT)  the drivers were told that they can still get their plates, but if they do not, they have to stay off the road.
