City seeks deal for underground parking
Panama City has asked the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) for the land of three parks in the metropolitan area, for the construction of underground parking.
The city also requests the use and administration of the parks free of charge said the mayor Roxana Mendez, 0n Tuesday, July 24.
The land is in the parks of Francisco Arias Paredes, Belisario Porras and Urraca which, says the mayor, provide, a good option for the city "on the issue of parking”
She said that both the MEF and the Mayor have "a common interest in developing these solutions for the state, but must meet certain legal procedures."
City Council president Panama, Ivan Picota said that to date no one has an estimated price for the construction of the works, as they are analyzing the plans and scope of the project. The goal he said is “to mfort and help bring a little relief to the streets. ”
