New MOP Minister promises review of all contracts

After being sworn in office, James Ford the new head of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), said on Monday, August 20, that his first job will be to review all contracts entered into by that entity.

"I will touch and review all projects that are in the MOP, to make sure that they remain on track to a successful conclusion," he told local media.
He said that the review will allow the works to be inaugurated in 2014, as promised by the president, Ricardo Martinelli.
His statements were made after he was questioned about what will happen to the allegations of possible cost overruns on some of the MOP works driven by this government
Ford said that when he had the opportunity to review all contracts and is better informed about the allegations "I will be happy to talk”
