Martinelli kills electoral reform move as wind turbine opens

PRESIDENT Ricardo Martinelli on Monday, August 5, squashed an imitative by CD deputy to reform the Electoral Code describing it as "crazy".

He has asked the Deputy Victor Juliao-Democratic Change, to withdraw the draft in the National Assembly.

He, described the attempt as , ery foolish, like instead of burning the ballots they are shredded, but that's no fundamental change. Wanting to change the Electoral Code with a bit of this and that, is “really stupid, "said the president.
Martinelli said that he would never approve the initiative.
Martinelli's made jis comments at the installation of the first wind turbine of Wind Company Union of Panama in Llanos , Cocle, and again lambasted journalists for not giving importance to such events.
