Door still open for alliance to fight CD – Navarro

THE DOOR for an alliance between the PRD and the Panameñista Party for the upcoming election, remains open says PRD presidential candidate Juan Carlos Navarro.

" I have made the call 20 times to Juan Carlos Varela [Panameñista presidential candidate] and what I received is slander but the door remains open for a dialogue.” Navarro was touring the neighborhoods of the Loma Colorada , El Alba and others in David , Chiriquí on Saturday, November 16 when he made the statement.

He said he respects the judgment of Varelain avoiding failing a grand alliance of opposition to the current government, reports La Prensa.

"Of course I agree with the unification of the opposition parties, but Varela and activists hit me. I'm not going to answer . Panama is above any personal aspiration”
He also referred to the plan of CD candidate José Domingo Arias , to introduce new taxes., Navarro said he did not need a government that will further target the pockets of all Panamanians .
