Thousands without water as main ruptures

The rupture of a section of 30-inch pipe from the Mendoza water treatment plant left residents of four districts of La Chorrera and Arriajan on Wednesday night April 17.

The strong current of water from the main opened a trench several feet deep which flowed into the Caimito River

Thursday morning , workers of the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers ( Idaan ) managed to remove the section of pipe fiberglass and were waiting for the replacement part reports La Prensa.
The districts affected are: Barrio Colón, Balboa Neighborhood, Guadalupe and El Coco addition to the homes located in Hato Mountain district Arrijian.
