School junk clean up underway

A CLEAN UP of broken desks and scrap metal from 67 schools in Panama province initiated by The Ministry of Economy and Finance is underway and will continue through the month.

The sight of desks, chairs and other unused or damaged items stacked at the back or side of schools has been widely criticized as a potential health or injury problem.
