Drug traffickers jailed after plea bargain

TWO MEN  arrested in Pacora in a car carrying 213 kilos of cocaine have been sentenced to prison terms  after a plea bargaining deal under the newly implemented Criminal Adversarial System.

A Panamanian was  jailed  for 74 months and   a Venezuelan to nine years on Saturday September 10.

Both confessed  to  drug trafficking, after being arrested in n two Kia vehicles, carrying  traveling six sacks holding  192 packages of cocaine.

A third man, a Panamanian pleaded not guilty  and, Cardoze Teodolinda ordered his preventive detention and set a deadline of six months for him  to be investigated.

The plea bargain was sealed with the Second Superior Drug Prosecutor  Julio Villarreal.
