Second blazing truck rescuer dies

THE SECOND of four men  who fought to rescue two people  trapped inside a blazing gasoline tanker truck last week, has died from his burns.

Nursing  technician Diogenes Bellido died at 3 am Saturday, November 26 in the David Regional Hospital just a week after the rescue attempt  in Bocas Del Toro.

He is the fourth fatality resulting from the accident.

The funeral of dentist Larkin Zapata, who also died  from severe burns while trying to rescue the occupants of the truck,  took place on  Saturday. He died Thursday.

Bpyh  men could not be moved to Panama City for treatment because of bad weather and their delicate condition.
