Multi-million dollar 911 program in place

  A NEW technological platform, that will double the capacity of reception of calls and data transmission for the  Unique System of Emergency Management (SUME 911) has been launched in time for World Youth Day (WYD) in Panama -January 22-27.

The platform at a cost of $4,975,373 aims to provide the public with a service of higher quality and with the latest technology it deserves, said Gil Fábrega, executive director of the SUME 911.

The platform  was  announced as part of the actions of the emergency axis of the Executive Directorate of Support to the Local Organizing Committee of the  World Youth Day Panama 2019 for the benefit of visitors, pilgrims and the population in general and it It has a system for recording and controlling malicious and abusive calls

The consortium that won the tender for the platform was Cable & Wireless Panama SA, ADR, SA, Sonitel, SA and Mobiltec International.
