Red flag greets families returning to beach
On Saturday, October 24 the day that Panama beaches re-opened to the public the Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) raised a red flag and banned bathers from entering the sea in the Reina de Mariato beach in the Veraguas district.
Sinaproc Director Carlos Rumbo,, reported on his Twitter account that the red flag was due to bad weather and strong waves.
“We ask for caution by the people who are in the sector”, said Rumbo.
