Panama and Russia Sign Agreement

Panama and Russia signed an agreement, which took place June 1, 2024 within the framework of the 77th World Health Assembly and it is a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health of Panama.

 

This agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister of Health of Russia, Oleg Salagay, and the Deputy Minister of Health of Panama, Ivette Berrío, with the aim of developing long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of health care, education medical and science.  “The agreement encourages the exchange of information, specialists, and the participation of experts in conferences organized by both parties,” indicated the Ministry of Health (Minsa). 

 

Among the cooperation activities, it is also proposed to promote the development of cooperation in public health, including the prevention of infectious diseases, maternal and child health.
