Fox News cameraman killed in Ukraine
Pierre Zakrzewski, a Fox News cameraman has died in Ukraine, the US network said on Tuesday, March 15. Zakrzewski was killed and his colleague Benjamin Hall was injured when their vehicle was hit by fire Monday in Horenka, outside Kyiv, Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement.
“Pierre was a war photographer who covered nearly every international story for Fox News from Iraq to Afghanistan to Syria during his long tenure with us,” Scott said.
“His passion and talent as a journalist were unparalleled,” she added.
Zakrzewski, who was based in London, had been working in Ukraine since February.
Britain’s Benjamin Hall, who covers the State Department for the US network, remains hospitalized in Ukraine, with shrapnel wounds in both legs said Irina Venediktova, Ukraine’s attorney general on Facebook.
