OPINION: The Judicial Branch infiltrated

The Judicial Branch has made an effort to explain –via clarification– the trajectory of an official who worked for that State body and who transmitted sensitive information to alleged criminals wanted in the Damascus operation, directed at a dangerous gang with links to drug trafficking. The aforementioned official – today detained – went through various positions in the Judiciary, including management. However, the statement reveals that in her last position “she did not have access nor was she assigned any criminal case.” Even so, this lawyer handled information that should not have passed through her hands, but that, thanks to sources that she had in other instances of the Judiciary, she was able to obtain it, transmit it, and spoil part of the anti-drug operation. It means that no matter where she was, she could get what she wanted. This should be enough to order audits or an investigation to track down other whistleblowers – knowing or unknowing – and correct future leaks. It is clear that the lawyer went as far as working in the office of a magistrate of the Criminal Chamber, so far from minimizing her participation, she should take herself much more seriously.
