WHAT WAS  an open secret, now is confirmed. Brazilian publicist Mónica Moura, wife and

Partner of the electoral magician Joao Santana, has confirmed that the construction company Norberto

Odebrecht contributed $16 million, “at least”, to the presidential campaign of José Domingo Arias and

Marta Linares de Martinelli in the year 2014.

According to the testimony obtained by way of an indictment deal, former President Ricardo Martinelli personally gave the informant $500,000 in cash in the Palacio de las Garzas. Here the electoral rules were violated in to manipulate the popular will.

What was the origin of the $16 million donated by Odebrecht?

Our taxes were the source, disguised as cost overruns. The contribution is the equivalent of one new school that was never built; or a small provincial hospital that never happened or sufficient funds to support 80 young people like Ulises Núñez.

These incomplete  services and those broken dreams are the true cost of the great theft of which we were victims. We must demand that the whole truth be known and justice be done by eradicating  impunity
