Medellin a magnet for Christmas vacationers

FOR THOSE not planning a Christmas at home there is a raft of affordable destinations in and out of the country  with Medellin, Mexico   as the most outstanding according to a survey of travel agencies conducted by  TVN Noticias

The list also includes, Bogota, Orlando, Cancun and Mexico City.

Medellin is listed as the biggest  magnet for tourists because of  the  Christmas lighting, tradition that was born in the middle of the last century.

The increase in the number of low cost flight options and the rising value of the dollar have  also been a boost for Colombian destinations.
