Salerno’s daughter under country arrest

THE SAME DAY that Cristobal Salerno, transferred over $20 million back to the Panamanian government, his daughter, María Alessandra Salerno, was placed under “country arrest” and must report to authorities every Monday and Friday.

The father remains under house  arrest..
A company, owned by the Salernos, received a contract during the government of Ricardo Martinelli to collect delinquent taxes on a commission basis. It earned $47.1 million over four years, including more than $20 million from the state agency that operates Tocumen International Airport.
The company also allegedly paid millions of dollars of kickbacks to government officials, including Martinelli, reports La Prensa.
