Tourist and disc jockey gunned down in Bella Vista


A DUTCH tourist and a Panamanian  disc jockey were shot and killed in the parking lot of Le Palace nightclub in Bella Vista, Panama City in the early hours of Saturday, December 27.
A second Dutch tourist was severely injured during the incident on Calle 52 at 1:20 am.

 According to the police report, Halid Jafatt , accompanied by other Dutch citizens, had left the night club premises, when shots were fired from an unidentified vehicle.
During the fusilade, a stray bullet struck Panamanian disc jockey Luis González Lapenta,who was taking a cigarette break and who died hours later in hospital.

The second tourist, 27-year-old, Isaan Bridine was shot in both legs and the shoulder.
The vehicle from which the shots were fired has not been located. Investigators are working on the theory that it was a planned assassination.
Police are analyzing security videos located in the area to help trace the killers.
