Anomalies in Judges $700,000 loan documents
Deputy Pedro Miguel González, who is prosecuting suspended Supreme Court Justice Alejandro Moncada Luna, has detected alleged irregularities in documents submitted by two notaries connected to a $700,000 loan granted to the judge by Felipe “Pipo” Virzi.
González said the irregularities were detected in the tenth and eleventh notaries.
According to sources, documents were allegedly discovered with altered dates and signatures that did not match the corresponding files reports La Prensa
The irregularities have been reported to prosecutors for further investigation.
The investigation was prompted by documents submitted by lawyers for Moncada Luna that allegedly detailed the loan, which was used to purchase an apartment in Coco del Mar. The purchase of that apartment was one of the factors that led to criminal charges being brought against the judge for unjustified enrichment.
