Family of four slain, 7 arrests

FIVE ADULTS gang members and two minors have been arrested in connection with the slaying of a family of four on Friday, September 13.
Police believe the killings could be related to a local gang war, and there is the possibility that the murderers hit the wrong target. Eight suspects were allegedly involved in the attack.

The family, including two children aged 4 and 9 years were killed when returning home to an apartment in San Antonio.
Commissioner Mark Cordova, head the Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ) said some of those arrested are part of a local gang but avoided revealing if the two adults killed had any police record. At the time of the killing it was learned that an AK-47 was found at the site.
The attack was the second event involving murder in Chorrera within 24 hours. On Thursday afternoon, a security guard at the church San Francisco de Paula was shot and killed by unknown assailants who were trying to take his gun.
