Choice of Solis as VP candidate strengthens PRD presidential bid – Weeden

PANAMA’S Former Comptroller Alvin Weeden said Monday. January 13 that the choice of Gerardo Solis as the vice presidential candidate of the PRD strengthens its bid for the presidency.

"Gerardo did well to join a presidential candidate with much more possibilities than those that he had," he said.

According to Weeden, Solis "strengthens" the candidacy of Juan Carlos Navarro and gives the campaign "aggressiveness"

Solis was named as the vice presidential candidate on Sunday. He had previously collected signatures to run as an independent presidential candidate.
