Over 100 Metro Bus drivers quit in August
OVER 100 Panama Metro Bus drivers resigned in August, but the Mi Bus company says it has enough staff to keep the system going
Rafael Chavarria, of theThe General Confederation of Workers of Panama (CTRP), said the drop came after the drivers received the payment of the thirteenth month.
He said the cause was discontent with labor standards and practices within the Mi Bus company, which users say is providing bad service.
The representative of the National Public Transport Users, Jose Diaz,, said that "these are faults that affect the service, but the company does not want to listen."
The company reported that it has adequate staff to maintain system in the capital and San Miguelito.
