When the system you love lets you down

There are statistics and damned statistics. The same goes for computer programs.

 On Thursday, January 27, at around  5 p.m. Newsroom's system went "down". Our techie contact was on a plane en route to Chicago. Her partner got the message, and worked through the night, and at 6.10 this morning we were back on line.

Meanwhile another problem  developed with the automatic mailing to over 500 subscribers, Only 46 of them  have received the mailing during the last three days. That too is being worked upon, but it is an external challenge.

Meanwhile, thank you to all our readers who have e mailed us with a "What's happening" message. We might never have known.
