Ex-president gets $5million bail
Former president Ernesto Pérez Balladares who has been under house arrest was finally granted bail on Friday (March 5).
The decision was made by two judges, Batista Elvia V. Solis and Joaquín Ortega, and bail was set at $5 million.
In February, the court had refused as “inappropriate" a bail petition filed by the defense of Balladares who is being investigated by The Special Prosecutor’s for Organized Crime for alleged money laundering.
