Foreigners Arrested with INTERPOL Alerts in Panama
Two foreign citizens with INTERPOL alerts in Panama were captured in a joint operation between the National Migration Service, the National Police and the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development. The intervention took place during the early hours of Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
Among those arrested is a Venezuelan citizen with a red alert for fraud, who was transferred to the Women’s Immigration Detention Center to continue with the corresponding legal procedures. On the other hand, a 28-year-old Colombian citizen, with a blue alert for homicide, was arrested while he was part of the irregular migratory flow through Darién. The man was handed over to the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ) of the National Police.
Authorities reiterate their commitment to the security of nationals and foreigners in the country.
