COVID-19: Ten deaths  in the first  week  of 2023

Panama registered 10 new deaths from covid-19 in the first epidemiological week of 2023  from Sunday, January 1 to Saturday, January 7 bringing the total since the pandemic began to  8,584 people. During the epidemiological week, 17,839 tests were administered and, 1,403 positive cases were registered, for positivity of 7.9%. The total active cases until January 7 were 2,086, those hospitalized in the ward were 99 and in the ICU there were 3 patients.
