The National Police has implemented a new system for recovering stolen cars through the use of visual inspection cameras.  According to the institution, these cameras allow police units to identify and recover vehicles more efficiently, using new technology.  Lieutenant Aramis Hassan, head of the Auto Theft and Theft Division, said that through this mechanism at least 20 cars have been recovered.  In total, through search and focused operations, 191 vehicles have been recovered so far this year.  Cars with double identities have also been identified, a common modality among car thieves.  Special eye inspection cameras are helping police recover these stolen cars.  Through the new technology, police units can identify and recover vehicles more efficiently than they ever could previously.
