OPINION - Pandemic chivalry

With the sudden change of leadership in the Ministry of Health and the creation of an advisory commission at the presidential level, the technical scientific work of the advisory committee that supported the management of the former Minister of Health ceased. That is a political decision, which in no way should ignore the work done and the experience gained during almost four months of fighting the pandemic. It would be highly responsible to continue the advice and scientific analysis ad honorem that the members of that ministerial group shared. The mere presence of any of them guarantees transparency and favors the continuity of successful efforts. It would be a chivalrous act and a gesture of high politics that the ex-minister be invited to join the new presidential committee. The situation we face as a country requires extraordinary measures, including the sacrifices of political vanity and the distancing of vested interests. If a patient needs life-and-death medical care, they will seek out the best doctors, not their friends or favorites. Panama needs the maximum attention from the best talents.

I would much rather carry my shotgun than to wear a mask and be locked inside my home. That was just a stupid comment from a pussy with a limp wrist. Our hospitals in Texas have plenty of room. I know because I work in one. Your left wing foreign propaganda does not work on people who actually live here. You keep kneeling there captain. I know it is a way of life for you. Better change your stage name to "spineless worm".

They all "escaped". Bye bye!! To the land of the free, the brave....(joke) and the worst of the virus in the world today....and getting worse by the day. So enjoy your freedom...you know..your constitutional right not to wear a mask and to bear arms. Enjoy that. We will manage here without you right wing nutjobs who are deluded into believing in american "exceptionalism". Do you really think you do not have a dictator in the making with the orange dotard in office. "Humanitarian flights"? More aptly should be called death flights. Some I am sure are into Florida where the virus is rampant. I have a friend working in one of the largedt hospitals in Palm Beach. It is overwhelmed with patients any day now housed in the corridors! So while you head back to your fast becoming third world country, think on those facts. You can run but you can't hide. Exceptional americans!!! Remember your right not to wear a mask...and party!!!! Adios!!!

Congrats kid I wish you well. We have decided to go also. Clearly this is going to drag on for another year or longer and life is too short to spend it locked inside. I read a report the other day that said being locked indoors is taking years off our lives, can't have that.

So the flight out on July 1st is booked solid but I got a seat on the July 2nd flight because of a cancellation. Keep contacting them periodically because they could get a cancellation. Still seats for the July 9th flight avail as of this morning but I couldn't wait that. I am an honest person and I obey the laws. I refuse to be imprisoned any longer!!!! Peace out.
