Everyone is susceptible to the new coronavirus, which could attack between 60 and 70 percent of the Panamanian population if the recommendations of the authorities are not followed, said, Jorge Victoria, coordinator of surveillance and control. of diseases of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

He has said that the response to the pandemic occurs in two ways of  collaboration, one is provided by the State preparing with

medical services and units and the other by the community, which must help prevent transmission from increasing, because if they continue to walk freely they will appear cases and the health system will collapse.

"This is where we have to resort to citizen awareness. As long as they stay in their homes we will not have more cases, "he stressed.

Victoria added that the behavior of coronavirus cases is the same as the rest of the world and we are entering an increase, so the cooperation of citizens is vital so that the system does not collapse.

He believes that the impact of the measures to minimize mobilization will be seen in 15 days.
