Three people attempting to transport over a thousand sea turtle eggs in the Tonosí Valley region, of Los Santos, to members of a band that are dedicated to the illegal transfer of this product in the Azuero region.

According to reports from regional security forces, in three operations in the last 24 hours, 1,308 sea turtle eggs were confiscated.

The eggs were illegally extracted from the beaches of the  Cambutal, district of Tonosí, where several species of sea turtle arrive to lay their eggs.

The three cases are being investigated by the Ministry of Environment and the Office of the Attorney  General.
