More than 60 inmates, men, and women, from  the prisons of Herrera, Chiriquí, La Joyita and the Women's Rehabilitation Center, participated, in a day a nationwide day of beach cleaning on Saturday, October 12

In addition, another 12 prisoners in a  resocialization project spent the day together with members of the Ministry of Government, the Penitentiary System and the Mayor's Office of La Chorrera cleaning grasslands at the entrance of La Chorrera.
