Climate Change Leaves Canal Reservoirs Short

Low rainfall on the Canal Hydrographic Basin in recent days have not been sufficient for the Alajuela reservoir to remain at its reference level, said the Panama Canal Authority on  Friday, November 22.

At 7:00 am, Lake Alajuela recorded 74.16 meters, lower than its guide level of 74.39 meters, while the Gatun reservoir continued below its reference with  25.16 meters, below its  26.68 meters guide level.

As a result of the low rains nationwide, including the hydrographic basin of the interoceanic highway, the Canal has prioritized water storage in Lake Alajuela in the management of reservoirs, through measures such as limiting energy generation at the Madden hydroelectric.

Gatún and Alajuela are artificial lakes that store the rainwater that falls in the Canal watershed and from there they supply the water treatment plants that serve two million people in the provinces of Panama, Colon and Panama Oeste, as well as the interoceanic operations.

As a result of climate change, several regions of the country are affected by a prolonged drought, which led to the declaration of a state of emergency in the provinces of Coclé, Colón, Darién, Herrera, Los Santos, and Veraguas.

Faced with this situation and anticipating the deficit of water accumulation in reservoirs a few weeks after the beginning of the dry season, the  Canal Authority has redoubled the measures it has been applying to conserve water and have a more efficient use in the operations of the interoceanic route.

Panama | Climate Change: From Drought to Man's Snow Making Machines Ironic how droughts cannot be eliminated but... Snow making machines are commercialized. Snow making machines can be commercialized let's say... at the Antarctic regions to absorb some of this warm air currents. Will it work? It's worth a try and see any incremental improvements. The point? To break the vicious cycle of global warm air currents. Snow making machine...not necessarily for hot spot regions. Cold blast machines can counteract warm air currents at strategic air current locations such as factories but the locals may need to tamper their criticism of a few chills.

The present drought at a time of rapid cooling of the planet may continue for a long time, or may not. Time to restrict water usage to canal purposes only. No hydro, no drinking water. In all cases, climate change is a hoax.

Panama | The Link with Vessel Transits and Rainfall Panama air is affected by many factors...pollutants, chemicals and extraordinary heat. Panama has incurred droughts in certain regions. Panama is near the equator between two oceans and now a reduced rainfall. What does this mean? Panama in the first place is tropical and should most of the time receive a good annual rainfall. Panama is a small isthmus susceptible to high temperatures in the 90's Fahrenheit. Gas is a strange thing that has not been thoroughly explored even by scientists! Nature has unpredictable weather patterns and there is some kind of mysterious force. Mysterious force of engaging gas or the atmosphere with runaway self propelled forces. Evidence of this can be seen by the observations of black holes in space. Black holes take in gas to generate spinning and with friction self propulsions in the form and to the extent, high energy blazars. A recent experiment was achieved to prove this point as indicated by link below. https://phys.org/news/2019-10-mechanisms-big.html It does not take much to produce this type of self propelled energy. In fact, I suggest this theory based on this principle when researches were stuck on the Big Bang theory. What does this mean? The atmosphere made up of heated gas with addition ship transits may incur a self propelling action that may in fact cause inadvertent changes in the direction of the current wind stream and drying up the atmospheric moisture of Panama's air. The principle is basic and proven in lab test as reference by the link above with government funding. I have provide many other theories by the way and actually assisted in finding the missing mass that has confounded many experts for over a 100 years "believe it or not" sound familiar? I can provide link with my theories relating to these matter at the opportune time for finding the missing mass. I am just living in a retired quiet environment here at a simple computer desk letting others of course get the credit with their highly sophisticated space probes to find the actual discovery. Now, there are potential applications and changes may be underway changing the future as we know it. Believe it or not.

George as usual you are espousing rambling rubbish. There is absolutely no link with vessel transits and rainfall.

Panama | Environmental Specialist Need to Assess The Causes Of Rain Reduction. The problem is... Panama is at a critical situation made worse by the new Panama canal. Less fresh water from the Gatun lake does not produce enough evaporation to produce rain fall. Sometimes and maybe most of the time from my observation of the weather patterns... observation is key... the reason Panama gets plentiful rain by some luck... is the clouds of moisture comes through from Columbia straight through Panama! Panama cannot rely on...luck! I hope someone out there does not say this is not well understood. It is basic and the grand sky and tropical palm trees does not mean rain if man cause there own environmental destruction. Eventually China will suffer droughts from what? ALL those U.S. and China military ships every single day generating heat. Unless of course the ships are getting electrical power through nuclear energy engines. Maybe Panama could use some of that...expensive. The world needs to evaluate and assess their heat generating factories and emissions that would compound the problem.

Panama | The Reason Why The Sky Does Not Rain Basic Reason Facts: First let's get something straight! When the new canal was under construction there were less ship transits. What does that mean? hmmm...think! Fact #... 1. Less ship...less heat generating ship smoke stacks...heat...heat...heat! Heat generating ship smoke stacks does what? 2. 10,000 - 15,000 ships generate heat / year...dries...dries the air! 3. Less and less moisture means less and less rain. Basic scientific understanding!!! Meaning... after the new canal under construction for 9 years was completed... there was a sudden massive amount of water...there was less ship transits! Heat generating ship smoke stacks are now what...[LARGER FOR LARGER SHIPS]! Larger ships...increased ship transits...increased amount of heat stacks...increased dry air! Panama has no choice but eliminate or reduce the heat generated from [ALL] ships. Air currents in Panama comes back...what?...[DRY]! Air currents do not necessarily pick up moisture from another tropical jungle. Basically, Panama jungles are not sufficient to produce tons and tons of rain. As this continues...Panama will have a severe drought for many more years than before. Air currents in Panama are dry due to the ships possibly causing the El Nino. Panama needs to rely on electrical ship engines not the heat generating smoke stacks. Heat by millions of Fahrenheit degrees over time does what to the air moisture? Panama has been getting very hot lately...now you know why! Before my best educated guess is scorned or whatever... Panama needs to get an environmental specialist to access this specific situation. Panama's future may depend on it!
