A total of 62,019 labor contracts have been reactivated nationwide, says the Ministry of Labor (Mitradel) but by year-end the unemployment figure is expected to top 500,000.

Some 63% (39,040)  are men and 37% (22,979) are women who have returned to their work, in 5,083 companies.

The largest number of contracts reactivated are in the Panama (42,978); Colon (5,602); Chiriquí (3,757) and Panama Oeste (2,761).
