Pfizer qnnounces plan to speed vaccine deliveries
AFP – The US group Pfizer, associated with the German laboratory BioNTech, announced on Saturday a “plan” that will limit the delay in the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine to one week, when Europe feared a longer deadline, of “three to four weeks ”.
“Pfizer and BioNTech have developed a plan to increase manufacturing capabilities in Europe and deliver many more doses in the second quarter,” the two companies announced in a joint statement.
“We will return to the initial delivery schedule in the European Union from the week of January 25, with an increase in deliveries from the week of February 15,” added both groups.
“For this, certain modifications of the production processes are necessary from now on”, indicated both partners.
